Glass Surfaces Applicator

We are looking for a Glass Surfaces Applicator to be part of our team. Experience in the Construction, Glass, or Bathroom industries would be an advantage but definitely not essential as we provide training and hands on assistance until you are ACE.

ClearShield Applicator is responsible for protection of glass (showers, balustrades, windows, boats, automotive) as per the operations processes and standards of ClearShield Glass. Some jobs require restoration of the glass to bring it back to 'new' and using a power tool.

We are looking for an enthusiastic crew member who has an eye for detail and takes pride in a perfect finish. Good communication skills and a full, clean driver's licence. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. Vaccination is a requirement.
We provide one on one training, company uniform and company vehicle for on jobs.

HOURS

This role is a casual position Tuesday - Friday Contract time approx. 20 hours (to be agreed can be flexible by each week). The days and or hours can be adjusted to accommodate when required if given enough notice.

Hourly rate price brackets $28-$32. Payment cycle weekly.

The work is varied and the work carried out mainly over 2/ 3 days a week.

ABOUT YOU

A suitable candidate will care about the process, be generally handy with tools and ideally be able to demonstrate a service attitude and adhere to all health and safety regulations.  active, energised to learn and prefer order to chaos

  • Attention to detail to catch small cosmetic imperfections and ensure all work is done properly.

  • Comfortable with interacting directly with customers and therefore presentation of yourself and communication skills is important.

  • Understand and are a comfortable with using hand tools and following processes to ensure health & safety and best performance

  • You are a problem solver who can be counted on to make the right decision for the sake of our customers

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Understand cleaning equipment and substances, and how chemicals react to window frames, glass and other surfaces.

  • Follow operational processes to restore and protect glass as per Clearshield process.

  • Be update to date with Health & Safety requirements

  • Doing the job efficiently within time allocated

  • Equipment accounted for after each job and returned

  • Working with clients from arrival call to final completion of the job

  • Planning and managing the job site, including working with other team members
